Barcelona ‘must sell players or cut salaries to register Jules Kounde’

Barcelona would have to sell players or reduce their wage bill in order to land Jules Kounde in their La Liga squad.

Barcelona apparently won’t be able to register Jules Kounde as a La Liga player unless he sells players or cuts his wage bill.

Throughout this week, it has remained unclear whether Barcelona’s five high-profile additions will be registered in time for their opener against Rayo Vallecano.

However, the Catalan giants were able to generate an additional £85million in revenue on Friday with the sale of an additional 24.5% of Barcelona Studios.

This put the club in a position where Andreas Christensen, Frank Kessie, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski could all be formally included in xavierfor the new national campaign.

In addition, the new contracts awarded to Sergi Roberto and Ousmane Dembele also followed suit, but the situation involving Koundé remained unresolved.
