Conte would ‘happily sell’ a £250,000-a-week duo to Hotspur Way

Tottenham Hotspur could sell or loan up to six first-team players before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a journalist Paul Brown.

Antonio Conte has made some impressive additions to his squad so far but the priority can now shift to offloading those who are surplus to requirements.

What’s the latest on Hotspur Way departures?

Midfielders Harry Winks and Giovanni Lo Celso are two names high on the list for a potential sale to Hotspur Way this summer with Southampton and Villarreal linked to the duo respectively.

Tanguy Ndombele was loaned out to Lyon during the January transfer window and his future at Tottenham looks non-existent under Conte. Moving Winks and Ndombele would also save the club £250,000 a week in wages.

Reports in Italy indicate that Jose Mourinho is interested in reuniting with the midfielder, however, with Roma and a loan with obligation to buy has been launched.

He was also relayed that Tottenham tried to include disgraced centre-back Joe Rodon in a swap deal for Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo.

What has Brown said about potential Tottenham departures?

Brown told GIVEMESPORT: “There’s a bit of blockage at Spurs of players who don’t really have a future there but don’t have any moves lined up either. [There are] probably five or six that I think Spurs would happily let go, including the likes of Winks and Ndombele.

Who could leave Tottenham this summer?

As Brown indicates, there are plenty of players in Conte’s squad who would likely benefit from a move away from North London this summer.

Winks made just 19 Premier League appearances last season with just nine starts in the top flight and with the arrival of Yves Bissouma his chances will only diminish.

The same goes for Ndombele and Lo Celso who both spent loan spells last season with Lyon and Villarreal respectively.

The second half of last season saw a favorite partnership between Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur. Bissouma has signed from Brighton to add more depth and there are suggestions a creative presence in midfield is also on the wishlist.

Leicester City ace James Madison is apparently of interest to Tottenham officials with Conte apparently keen to end Harry Kane’s forays into midfield next season.

With Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona and Ivan Perisic arriving from Inter Milan, the future of Rodon and Sergio Reguillon has also been thrown into doubt.
