A security guard was forced to hand over money after being ambushed by a gang of thugs at a Haslingden newsagent.
The terrifying theft took place outside Haslingden News in Manchester Road shortly after 8 a.m. today (September 13).
The money was said to have gone to the cash machine inside the popular store.
Lancashire Police said the victim was not injured.

The violators fled the scene in a black Volkswagen Golf and were later recovered in West Yorkshire.
A police cordon is in place and investigations are underway.
No arrests were made.
A spokesperson for the police force said: “We were called at around 8:05 am today (Monday 13 September) following a report of money being stolen in transit through Haslingden.
“It was reported that several men robbed a security guard at Haslingden News in Manchester Road with a quantity of stolen money.
“The guard was not injured as the offenders drove off from the scene in a black Volkswagen Golf car.
“The vehicle was then recovered in the West Yorkshire area by the police.
“An investigation is underway and investigations are ongoing.”
